Scent and Travel
Travelling is never without activities and adventures that could last for an hour or a day. Vacations are perfect for hiking, shopping, sightseeing, and other entertaining things. Amid all these actions and motions, tourists need to continue smelling fresh and ever ready to socialise. For this reason, it helps to bring along a travel kit of toiletries. Now, the kit should be ideal for trips, such that they are in smaller quantities or compact containers. If one has to bring family-size toothpaste, it would only take up precious luggage space and weight otherwise fit for other more important stuff.
Basic toiletries include tissue, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, cleanser, soap, cologne, and other products used on a daily basis for personal hygiene. While these products can be bought from shops somewhere at your travel destination or provided by your hotel or restaurant, it is always beneficial to bring your own. You will never know when you would be in dire need of them - say on one of your backpacking excursions?
While it is admirable to smell good, one must take caution when putting on perfumes. If you should be in crowded or confined places such as trains, buses, and elevators, avoid wearing strong scents. Be considerate because some people just cannot handle perfumes; some even develop allergic reactions to certain scents. A subtle cologne or light aftershave can go an extra mile in refreshing you up without the overwhelming and annoying smell. In addition, understand that some races and places have a distinct smell. This is attributable to the local culture or way of life (eating spicy food, presence of pollution, growing of pigs, and the like). So, be more tolerant yet observant, and enjoy your trip.
